Flores suing the NFL, alleges racism in coaching hiring practices.

What do you know, someone finally figured out that minorities are just being used, and nothing really changed at all.

Flores will never work for the NFL again. But hey, the XFL will be looking for some coaches.

Fair play? How is it not a crime?
If you own the team you can probably decide to do so if it is in the best long term interest of the team … every store that has some blockbuster like a 10cent sale loses money on it with the expectation that in the overall picture they will make out…. I think its legal, if it comes from the owner and its a general direction and not a specific thing tied to gambling…

Now it almost certainly will be frowned on by the league…. But thats internal policy, not law…

In any case its definitely a bad look

I haven't heard anything about Tom Lady being interested in coaching.

Imagine if a bloody nose made him decide to retire what a tampon would do durring practice..................!

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross responds to Brian Flores' allegations: 'False, malicious and defamatory'

Ross denied the allegations and said he will also "cooperate fully" with an expected NFL investigation

"With regards to the allegations being made by Brian Flores, I am a man of honor and integrity and cannot let them stand without responding," Ross added in the statement. "I take great personal exception to these malicious attacks, and the truth must be known."

I welcome that investigation and I am eager to defend my personal integrity, and the integrity and values of the entire Miami Dolphins organization, from these baseless, unfair and disparaging claims."

I thought the below comment summed up the reality nicely:

So according to Flores the Fins are racist despite the fact they hired him...; the Broncos are racist despite the fact the previous coach was black...; and the Giants are racist because they chose a coach who turned Josh Allen into a superstar over a coach that turned Tua into dog water...

I welcome that (finger quotes) "investigation" (finger quotes) and I am eager to defend my personal integrity...

Oh ya The league is gonna look REEEAAL deep into this one.

I don't think they need to look deep. You can barely scratch the surface and clearly see that this is about being butthurt, not about systemic racism.

In Brian's interview, he said more than once that he was meant to be a coach. According to him, that's his passion. As a result, I think he convinced himself that he was 'entitled' to one of these positions. Too bad for him that the franchise owners didn't share the same high opinion that he has about himself.

Eli Manning defends Giants in dispute with Brian Flores: 'I don’t think there was any wrongdoing there'

"I was not involved in any of that process in any way, so I don’t know the details," Manning told The Post. "I know the Giants organization. I know they do everything possible to give everybody a fair chance. They don’t care — minority or not — they are looking for the best possible candidate. They are going to do everything properly to look for that perfect candidate. So, I don’t think there was any wrongdoing there."

Steelers President Art Rooney II releases statement on 'Rooney Rule'

Pittsburgh Steelers President and head of the NFL Diversity Committee Art Rooney II released a statement on Thursday. The release of the statement was prompted by the lawsuit filed by former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores against the NFL for racist hiring practices although Rooney does not discuss it specifically. Instead he wanted to review the Rooney Rule.

Here is the full statement from Rooney.

I am not going to comment on the specific allegations in the
lawsuit brought by Brian Flores, but I do want to comment on
,
the general state of affairs in regards to Diversity policies and
the NFL.
Over the past several years, our Diversity Committee has
recommended, and Ownership has adopted, a number of
enhancements to the Rooney Rule as well as new policies
designed to ensure that women and minorities are receiving full
and fair consideration for coaching and front office positions.
The details of these enhancements and new policies have
previously been made available. While I acknowledge that we
have not seen progress in the ranks of Head Coaches, we have
seen marked improvement in the hiring of women and
minorities in other key leadership roles such as Coordinator
positions, General Manager positions, and front office positions
both in and out of football operations. I believe this progress has
been made as a result of the implementation of many of the
enhanced policies that were recently adopted.

The Commissioner and League Executives, as well as the
Diversity Committee, remain committed to working with all
clubs, the Fritz Pollard Alliance, and others in making these
efforts as effective as possible and building upon them to
promote the desired impacts on hiring decisions in the League at
all levels, including Head Coach positions.

No, I’m talking about the potential violations involving gaming. There are several laws against fixing the outcome of a game and attempted bribery to fix a game.

Don’t know if this was already posted somewhere..

IMO, and likely unpopular, the Rooney Rule is nothing more than to save face and set to make the league appear to be progressive.

if I'm the owner of a team and I want to hire say ... Chuck Noll ... but the league requires me to interview minorities, then to meet that requirement I may interview Hue Jackson or Marvin Lewis just to say I did an "exhaustive search". Clearly Noll is the best candidate for the job.

how long before teams are required to interview a woman for coaching positions?

It's coming. I suspect by the end of the 2020s, the Rooney rule will be updated to include giving special preference to the hiring of transgenders for HC and GM positions. If the transgender happens to be a minority, that individual will immediately be deemed the best man for the job. Err, eh, I mean lady.

..err mentally ill person. Men can't have babies.

I hope they don’t let the NFL investigate themselves, the NFL investigate New England for cheating found the evidence then destroyed it! The cheatiroits knew our plays and play calls better than we Cordell did!!

And that’s what’s been going on… the Rooney rule was never meant to be an”affirmative action” program it was a way for the black assist coaches to do a greet and meet to get their name out there at the very least… the failure of the Rooney rule means they will have do more, but what? Do like Pittsburgh and just suffer? I’ve been vocal about firing Tomlin and every time it’s ”oh you rednecks are just a racist” he’s had 15 years! we know coach tomlin… very well. Steelers just sent the first black executive to the HOF, first black head coach to HOF was the first black coordinator in NFL, Tony Dungy, hired by, you guessed it, the Pittsburgh Steelers. First black offensive coordinator, Lionel Taylor, hired by the Steeler, thou they didn’t call them coordinators then. Pittsburgh is not racist and it should be ok to fire coach tomlin… he deserves it, he’s earned it! but not in the Rooney-BLM NFL of today. It’s a problem

Don’t know if this was already posted somewhere..

A spokesperson for the Browns called the charge "completely fabricated" and said that "any accusation that any member of our organization was incentivized to deliberately lose games is categorically false."

stuntman

Are you able to elaborate on what evidence the NFL found which proved that they cheated? Further, can you advise as to how the NFL destroyed this evidence that you allege existed? Thanks.
