I am pissed at the constant invasion of privacy and its time to kneecap it.

Here is the latest story to piss me off
So I own maybe a dozen computers… some i loan out , some I use for work, some i use for private finances and a couple i use purely for entertainment… i try to keep things segmented so if i ever got hacked they don’t get everything off of me. So the computer i use on the road to stream videos isn’t the one i use for my taxes or for gaming and the one i use for random internet browsing is completely devoid of any personal identity information… its always worked well for me

Until now… for those of you who don’t know, microsoft windows is now requiring a microsoft account tied to the computer just to initially set it up… i had to buy a new travel computer and it had windows 11 installed so I couldn’t do anything without this account from microsoft

While nothing illegal or immoral is going to happen with any of these computers, i don’t want them linked or tracked to me. So i created a crap account linked to a fictional person with a new gmsil account also linked to nobody real…

Mind you no credit card or any sort of information was ever going to be on this computer… all its for is me to watch movies and surf the net on the road..

So a couple days ago on a totally other computer with no ties to any microsoft account I ordered a medical equipment item on my credit card and a totally legit email account…

today i go on my web computer and see the fake gmail account has an email saying they canceled the order due to shady stuff on my account

Here is my question… how the **** did any of that information get from computer a to computer b? The best answer i have is that to open the microsoft account i had to use a phone number… i used my work number not associated with me, but that is the only link between email a and email b…

The point is these algorithms are too invasive… im not doing anything illegal, i just want left alone… they shouldn’t be guessing my identity and tying things together…

And why the **** do you need a trackable account to operate a laptop now?

Its beyond time we legally kneecap this nonsense and stop it altogether…

The examples are countless and constant. Recently I had a conversation with my GF about cars. I was driving and we weren’t on our phones. My lease is almost up and I told her I was interested in BMW, which I’ve never had before. She said “the X4 is really nice”. Later that same day on commiebook an ad for the X4 popped up. This **** makes me want to go off the grid.

This explains on the porn ads here then. I thought so.

It happens all the time. a while back, I was talking about Chicken coops. an extremely random subject. we were in the kitchen. within earshot of Alexa.

30 Minutes later I start getting random emails about local Amish Chicken coops. The popups started the next time I got on my computer

we can’t say Biden now? MF

*edit: I’m not calling Justin a MF, just voicing my displeasure.
Your cell phone HEARS EVERYTHING you SAY because of the MICROPHONE.

Your video camera can turn on as well.

That's why when you talk about things while near it,you'll see **** pop up later on about whatever you talked about.

I just had it happen a few days ago.

The cellphone is nothing but a tracking device that mines everything about you without your permission.

.

was sitting in the living room watching TV with the wife when out of the blue Bixby says they didn't understand. my phone was listening to the TV. SMDH

When we were young we used to talk about how the government would someday implant microchips into us and track our every move. Looks like they didn't have to. Technology gave us our own tracking devices that are gleefully attached to us externally . Those Mother *******.

Wait until the Government shuts down your electric car remotely because you said mean things about the President on Steeler Nation. It's coming....guaranteed.

For sure… its not even tinfoil hat stuff anymore… they have been openly experimenting with remote shutoffs of vehicles for way over a decade

The thing that creeps me out about my story is the computer i ordered the item through had zero connection to the one i got the email about the order being canceled including never using that brand new gmail account on it… so literally they associated the gmail account to my phone and the order to the account connected to the computer that had my phone number on it… like hardcore invasion of privacy ****

This happens all the time, I'll be watching something and the damn TV pops up with "I didn't understand".. Well, F.U.C.K., you weren't supposed to.

Yep, and then you can go home to your 80 degree home in july because the smart thermostat says that's cool enough for you.

They absolutely have to start making laws to combat this. The first step should be a law that declares that your own online data is considered private property. Similar to laws that protect your health data.

Sounds like that kids movie wall-e. The humans were controlled in every facet of life

Just guessing Mad but your iP address may be your culprit on the new pc and the one used to order the medical eqpt. if both were used on the same internet connection.

At this point I'm not even sure a vpn can stop this kinda thing and the really sad thing is, yours and everyone's personal "metadata" generates more than enough $$$ to pay off any congress critter considering legislation to stop this crap.

Big tech and the government would just ignore the laws anyway. They don’t apply to the deep state. Watch Edward Snowden’s interviews with Joe Rogan. I just watched the movie “Snowden” the other day and while I’m not a fan of Oliver Stone, I thought it was pretty good. And the technology he talks about is ten years old now.

Eye-opening stuff. There's also a smaller clip from the Joe Rogan interview where he talks at length about how your cell phone spies on you.

Yeah a VPN can protect you from some third party hackers but they're getting to the point where they're not doing much else.

Pro tip: Don't look at porn on your phone.

We are lucky if our phones aren’t digitally grafting our faces onto porn these days… its out of control

There needs to be an amendment and certain privacy rights need to be made irrevocable to kneecap this ****… especially logarithmic data collection
