James Harrison Released

So yinz didn't like pro bowl caliber "slash"? Some of utes seem to have a short memory when it comes to players who actually had a spell of solid play. Sure he didn't end like one would want. But the guy wasn't a bust or garbage like you like to think of him. This is a example of joe fans memory sucking the suck.

Oh no, I remember quite well how the Steelers tried to make a qb out of Kordell. He was done years before we released him.

he is a prick if he goes to either team

Would it be a HARD pill to swallow,......YES but to condem him for his making a living and finding playing time would be like me saying
Antdrewjosh is a PRICK if you ever post on another board............ sorry NOT buying what you're sellin

Salute the nation

your right they are exactly the same

I apologize. I popped. I don't spout off very often. It gets penned up.

brother, you ain't gotta 'pologize to me, i'm good for at least one, maybe two spout-offs a game on here :thumb1:

The dreadful irony if Harrison takes out Roethlisberger...

This isn't James Harrison of 2008. Some of you act like he would be primed to have 12 sacks if they would've just let him play..

Harrison had 1 sack and 3 tackles in 40 snaps.

Dupree has 6 sacks and 26 tackles in 700 snaps.

You do the math.

Bud Dupree drops into coverage 60% of the time. You do the ******* math.

OK. I'll do the "*******" math for you:

Even if Harrison rushed the passer 100% of the time (which we know clearly isn't the case, evidenced by all the whining and moaning about how he can't cover), and assuming your set-in-stone 60% Dupree figure is indeed accurate:

700 * (.40) = 280 snaps Bud isn't in coverage

280 / 40 = 7:1 snap ratio Bud to Harrison

7 * 1 = 7 extrapolated sacks for Harrison over 280 snaps, EVEN IF HE NEVER ONCE DROPPED IN COVERAGE, WHICH ISN'T REALITY

7 > 6

******* math is great, ain't it?

The Steelers released James Harrison yesterday. That's how much confidence they had in his ability.

This reminds me of the Bus is done threads. Bullshit I said.

It's over. He's done in black and gold. Move on with your life

So nobody ******* if he sign with the P*ts or Ravens.

No chance he signs with the Ravens. He'd be terrible in the 4-3. I will put money on him not going to the Ravens.

The article is speculative at best. He really doesn't even fit in NE, unless they want him to strictly be a situational pass rusher.

Tennessee is his best fit for potential playoff teams. Arizona would want him, but they are a dumpster fire.

Did you even watch him against the Ravens? He could have rushed the passer another 600 times and I'm not sure he would have picked up another sack. I love the guy for what he did for the Steelers, but he was done. As the saying goes, it's better to get rid of a guy one year too early than one year too late. This year was a year too late for Harrison.

I have to agree with SF81.

As much as we loved Harrison. And even as much as we sometimes question the front office.
They've always had a good instinct when a players time was up.

James is a brute in the weight room. But his last showing against Baltimore, his lifts didn't transfer over too well.
Father time waits for no one.

We've seen it happen to Lloyd, Ward, Polamalu. It's part of the game
