Landry Jones getting better?

Can Archer throw? Maybe he'd be better at QB?

They just have to play over at the pirates field, unless he gets on the pitchers mound he won't be able to see anyone. But if he takes off he will be running down hill.

The question is did they take him to take over for Ben. Or was he taken to be a quality young backup for Ben when he gets hurt.
I think both. It's not like Ben's missed an entire season due to injury, just a few games here & there. The hope, I think, was for a QB that could fill in 2 or 3 games a season for an injured Ben and stay relatively healthy himself for when the transition does happen. And a Tommy Maddox-like transition - where he moved us from the Kordell era to the Ben era - is all we can hope for. Besides, they broke the mold when they made Ben and the Steelers will be fortunate to land the next franchise, HOF QB sooner rather than later when Ben retires/moves on. ,

Just like Tee Martin, Brian St. Pierre, Omar Jacobs, Dennis Dixon and now Landry Jones.

I will BELIEVE it is a good draft choice when we actually gain some tangible value either by having him become a 2nd string quarterback during his rookie season (thus eliminating the need to pay a veteran backup) or we turn his development into an asset by trading him away.

That has NEVER happened with any of Colbert's previous stupid quarterback selections (luckily only 5th rounders?) and I strongly suspect it will never happen with Landry Jones. This organization, front office and coaching staff are not wired to do anything productive with young, developmental quarterbacks yet our ******* genius GM keeps pounding a square peg into a round hole hoping for a different result.

They all suck.

well if he keep improving we can cut gradowsky and make him a ben's backup

I have hope for Landry Jones because of his size and arm strength but I still would have drafted Tyler Bray in the 7th over Jones in the 4th.
