Other than Joe Haden, I’m not sure any of our CB’s would start on any NFL team. Everyone looks like garbage tonight…

Yeah, doesn't look good. And the ILBs in coverage tonight, ouch.

Still don't get why they didn't retain Steven Nelson.

Nelson really wasn't that good last year, though.

I think they simply chose Sutton over him, as they couldn't afford to give big money to three CBs.

Plus Nelson burnt the bridge. He overvalued himself and found out the Steelers didnt agree then had a pity party for himself and was shown the door. Hi plays for philly now and I think less money as well.

They simply should have told him to play out his contract. It would have been in his best interest to have his best year. Our CB situation got weaker when he left.

I might be misremembering last season from the season prior, but was he really that bad?

I honestly don't know ATM so that's why I'm asking. Also saw videos of him this offseason sticking to guys (they could be scrubs) like glue. I dunno, the way Sutton (especially) played last night, I think they have some issues to fix in the secondary.

No doubt about that but If I remember correctly Nelson is the one who excilated the matter. Definately would have been better to have him but he exited by making demands and the STEELERS had to say goodby.

No .....the Steelers didn't have to say good bye. They chose to. Was Nelson going to hold out? Doubtful. In the end they released him. It is what it is.

I'm officially calling a losing season, bad coverage people at DB and LB. No the Jacksonville guy won't solve problems. This is who we have. Time for truth, the OL stinks, and our prized runner ism't explosive. He not running people over and isn't quite fast enough to get outside. Small sample of on the rookie back, We'll see. The offense has lots of problems and no heir apparent to Ben who's damn near 40.

You are right. There is really no point to the season. All is lost.

This is why so many NFL teams throw in the towel after starting the pre-season 2-0, without even a single play with the full squad of starters.

There you have it, it is going to be an excellent season. Confirmed.

Mark my words PRE-season is a waste mostly a waste of time. We are 2-0 vs backups. The problems are real.

I'm officially calling a losing season

It's already been said, but I am now officially relieved we're going to be okay.
