What a great ******* sight it was to see him destroying people with crushing blocks all game. Dan Kreider was one of my favorite Steelers in his time and Nix was reminiscent of him today.

After a very good camp, I still didn't think they'd keep two fullbacks. I'm glad they did.

Another FB I liked was Jon Witman....Kreider made us forget about him after Jon got hurt.

Krieder was so underrated. I remember him laying the wood on Ray Ray clearing a path for the bus. God, that steelers roster of the early 2000's were some grown men on that team.

Nix brings back memories of those days

I think we should use NIX more in twin I sets, and Haley needs to call some counter plays like when you have both miller and speath on the same side and neither motions you can easily as a D know the run is to that side and crash hard to that side both with the DL @ LB's like how they kept getting bell on 3-1, 3-2 stuffing hard. could of tried a counter with miller @ Decastro pulling and that even if bell did not wan't to outside go could've gone on a blast or dive up the gut or started and then cut.
that should be a key thing that haley should work on preparing for kc where houston, hali and poe will be waiting, It is going to be a very hard matchup for wallace vs poe.

I wonder what Haley was tearing him up for on the sidelines, he was screaming at him for something after a play. That guy just never goes backwards, he hits like a truck, and plays to the whistle, there is a lot to like with him.

I thought I lip read something like "stay upright" or "stay on your feet" from Haley. I don't remember the play.

He got flagged for a penalty on a return early.

Nix has been meeting people very violently at the poiint of attack. He has been very good as a lead blocker!!! And yes he reminds me a lot of Kreider!!!

Nix becoming a force

Hey I didn't have any hope for him out of training camp but the kid has earned his play time. This kind of play might make Will Johnson expendable next season

Will Johnson is actually valuable as a H back... he can play RB, FB, and Te... his versatility coupled with some talent is nice to have I sort of like having 2 actual RBs, a true fullback, and a utility guy on the roster at RB, and at least one real RB prospect on the PS. True fullbacks are rare in this day and age... no one has blocking FBs NFL ready coming out of college... its why guys like Dave Wandstedt ought to have a developmental league to coach in

I like WJ too, maybe Spaeth is the one that gets cut

Unless the league goes totally flag football. The need for a bruising fullback to put that extra punch in the running game will always be there. Smart offensive cor. know this. There will be days that weather will totally shut down the passing game. Example, Steelers vs stains on a Thurs. night. Thank you Bruce .... NOT. No matter what the Madison ave. fashion crowd are attempting to transform football into. There will be days when mother nature gives a big middle finger to those stylish posers. Thanks Mr. Nix and others for doing what has always made football great.

I saw him blow up #40 (Markus Golden?). Anyway #40 was blowing up a bunch of our running plays and then Nix came and completely obliterated him from the hole....friggin nice!

In the last game he blew up the inside line backer in the hole and then moved on and blocked one of the safeties coming down...i'm surprised the commentators didn't mention it. I hope Steelers Depot reviews his play vs. AZ.

Another fine product from Kent State. The school that brought you Mr. 92, Deebo, Silverback, the one and only James Harrison.

threads are merged.
now ark can stop bitching.
