The fact is that society isn't trying to eradicate the word. Anyone that has ever heard a rap song knows this. Some want the word to stick around because they feel it gives them power. They like to break it out when they accuse others of doing what they do. You can't have a unified society when you have "groups" of people that are treated differently. But that's what we have today.
