Thought y'all would like this from 2008 season vs Cowgirls.

I miss Deshea, Troy,Ryan, Big Snack, Potsy, Lemar, James. ******* bad *** defense that year led by Dickie Lebeau.
I'm getting sentimental here now boys.
Sheeeet now you have a state of the art lab with fantastic tasting popcorn topped off with varsity players galore. That is sure to razzle dazzle your Medulla Oblongata.

Damn, I thought about it afterward that I left off Aaron and Da Beard. My bad! Also Bryant McFadden. Also Hokie and Timmons. My bad! I think I got everyone on defense or not.
Notice Tomlin going wild! He showed emotion back then and that was Cool to see.

No love for The Beard or Aaron smith or Ike or Big play willie gay?

Lol i should have read everything before i posted

Part of the “five star matchup cause we’re in it” days. Good memory, thank you for sharing.
Yep.

Like the new saying about the Cowgirls Star: It isn't a logo, its a rating.

I remember I was watching that game at my buddy's, who is a Cowboy fan. We had a $20 on the game and I'm pretty sure the point spread was 3 1/2. I'd all but given up on the bet - I figured the Steelers would kick a FG in OT. 😁

Lawrence Timmons was Coach Tomlins very first draft pick.(just a tidbit)

That team was loaded with talented players who knew what team, and hard work would accomplish.

I’ve been watching a lot of old games while I treadmill. Love seeing the players.

Salute the nation

Didn't they play Renegade right before that play?
Yup! I was there.

Couple points I remembered from that game. We were driving at the end of the 3rd, went for it on 4th down at the beginning of the 4th in the red zone, and didn't get it. Cowboys are celebrating like they won the game. Tomlin is patting his guys on the back telling them we're close and this game isn't over. He was right. Next drive was a FG, the drive after that was a TD from Ben to Heath, then Romo throws the pick 6.

That replay is great. Cowboy homer announcers Aikman and Buck don't say a word for over a minute. Kick goes through the uprights for the XP, no words. Then Aikman talks about the 'mistake' by Romo, instead of talking about the play. I don't think they mention the Steelers defense until about 15sec left in that clip. Classic!

It’s funny, my sister-in-law who lives in Fort Worth who knows I bleed black n’gold and has known this for years continues to ask me every Sunday during the season about the Cowgirls.
It’s like the same conversation every year with me saying, ya know Sally I do not give a flying **** about the Cowgirls.
Oh but what did you think about this or that?
I’m like, ENOUGH!
She does that **** to get under my skin. It’s working!
As my friend Coolie would say.
**** the Cowgirls!

I can't stand Buck, but he was letting the awesome crowd and stadium atmosphere own the moment. They handled the silence very well.

Remember that before the 2008 season, a bunch of writers pointed out that the Steelers had the most difficult schedule in the history of the NFL based on the records of their opponents the prior year?

15-4, #6, thank you. That game was a BIG part of it.

Aaron Smith was probably one of the most underrated and crucial pieces to that defense for years

I still think he might be the most likely guy to get a hof nod from the Vet Committee.. he was just technically superior in a role that didn’t involve lots of stats
I agree. But sadly, the nfl seems to favor stats over technicality/proficiency
