What's the update on our OC search? There are so many job openings with more on the way as head coaches get hired. Teams will have to look hard if they don't want a recycled name.

You don't want to know. They interviewed the Panthers ex OC today. Hire him and I am definitely taking a break. You know that same OC that had that last ranked offensive in the NFL. It stinks of more of Tomlin's like than anyone else...What's the update on our OC search?
Oh, dear God, you have to be kidding me. You have to be. Let's go find an OC that ranks the bottom of the list? Typical Tomlin, wanting another stooge to provide "yes man" coaching. Let me guess, this guy will provide all rushing and passes only 5 yards from scrimmage in fear of turnovers? You don't want to know. They interviewed the Panthers ex OC today. I dunno all I remember is every time I seen clips of the Panthers I was like WTF are they doing over there.Oh, dear God, you have to be kidding me. You have to be. Deadlast in yards gained per game and dead last in passing yards, and this is who, in all their infinite wisdom, they are deciding to interview for the OC position. They were shut out their last 2 games of the season as well. Way to really go after the hot candidates there, Steelers. Great job.I dunno all I remember is every time I seen clips of the Panthers I was like WTF are they doing over there.
To be fair, Carolina was a total train wreck and Frank Reich went back and forth calling plays throughout the season as well as the lack of talent. However, Brown was still developing the game plans throughout the season and Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick, was one of the few QBs worse than Pickett this season. His experience with the Rams was as a RB and TE coach. You don't want to know. They interviewed the Panthers ex OC today. Hire him and I am definitely taking a break. But all things being equal, why would you look to HIRE someone who was at the very BOTTOM of yardage attained as your OC? No, don't look to hire someone who was at the top of his game, look to someone who was at the bottom, excuses or not. Just more of Tomlin bull s-- if you ask me. Let's keep an OC for 3 years who was literally LAUGHED AT by his peers as far as being far too simple and predictable. That's a brilliant Tomlin move. And if Art OK'd it, then screw him too. If Brown shares in the "pee your pants" philosophy as far as not throwing to the middle of the field, then he's in. The consistent factor in our offense sucking is Tomlin, period. He's just a horrid coach.I do like that he's off the McVay tree and has OC and HC interviews, so there's something there teams like. Last season was just so bad and there were so few bright spots with Young I just don't think I want to see them make this move.
That way there's no way to go but up for him. You see?But all things being equal, why would you look to HIRE someone who was at the very BOTTOM of yardage attained as your OC? No, don't look to hire someone who was at the top of his game, look to someone who was at the bottom, excuses or not. Just more of Tomlin bull s-- if you ask me. I’m in no way endorsing Thomas Brown cuz the Steelers should be able to do better imo, BUTYou don't want to know. They interviewed the Panthers ex OC today. Hire him and I am definitely taking a break. You know that same OC that had that last ranked offensive in the NFL. It stinks of more of Tomlin's like than anyone else...
So he should fit right in?I’m in no way endorsing Thomas Brown cuz the Steelers should be able to do better imo, BUT
He was in a helluva bad situation. A crap HC was in charge meddling much like Tomlin does and same crap HC was the play caller and scheme installer for the majority of the season.
Leftwich’s one good season was Tampa’s SB season. Beyond that, the guy is very very average. The Steelers can do better. If Lefty is such a great catch, then why is he unemployed?
Because KFP didn't look past his first read most timesTo be fair the number 3 spot sucked so bad it wouldn't take much to improve it...
That’s what the job requiresOh, dear God, you have to be kidding me. You have to be. Let's go find an OC that ranks the bottom of the list? You hire a bottom feeder because they are more likely to be glad for the job and more willing to do as your told. They also feel that bottom feeders seldom get worse, so the only way is up.But all things being equal, why would you look to HIRE someone who was at the very BOTTOM of yardage attained as your OC? I thought this was about a new OC, not ANOTHER discussion about Matt Canada.I’m in no way endorsing Thomas Brown cuz the Steelers should be able to do better imo, BUT
He was in a helluva bad situation. A crap HC was in charge meddling much like Tomlin does and same crap HC was the play caller and scheme installer for the majority of the season. He was the play caller for their only wins tho
Blessed with a meddling crap HC, an injured OL all season, a rookie QB and no receivers I’m not surprised at all of their struggles on offense. They did improve when he took over tho.
That’s Tomlin football. Play conservative, win with defense, and let your opponent beat themselves with mistakes.Oh, dear God, you have to be kidding me. You have to be. "Well crack my knuckles and jump for joy, I got a clean bill of health from Dr. McCoy."On the bright side, a member of Tomlin's staff was a hired away as a promotion.
ExactlySo he should fit right in?
Then why you bringing him upI thought this was about a new OC, not ANOTHER discussion about Matt Canada.
I’m with you here brother. I know it was just the first interviewed candidate but if this turd gets the job, after 60 plus years of following this organization, I’m with you, taking a break too.You don't want to know. They interviewed the Panthers ex OC today. Hire him and I am definitely taking a break. You know that same OC that had that last ranked offensive in the NFL.
