Was reading prior the draft lindy compared him to d.Parker I think before he ran a 4.52 checked before draft 4.49 at 6”3 I see him as 1 with the potential to be good as these 3 in thier prime Ashton Jeffrey similar size and physical style aj brown bigger version what I am hoping is what I expected chase to be another Julio jones similar size and speed once he perfects his route running he will be a force.

He’s far more physically gifted than AB. Gonna be hard to put up similar numbers in the Steelers pop gun offense though unless they open it up.
100% agree but he has the talent.

I would say a combination of Lynn Swann and John Stallworth and his ceiling is to be the single greatest WR in the history of the NFL

He has freakish ability you can't teach. Put it up in the sky and The Skyhawk will get it.

Can't run the bs offense as the last few years though.

Maybe because he retired today and played at the same school, but a less refined version of A.J. Green. Not quite the same skill level in terms of his route running, however, he plays with more of a physical edge. I think he has some T.O. in him as well (in a good way).

Green is a damn good comparison. Probably could be very similar in production if he continues to develop his route tree.

Totally true. Also if they don’t open it up,I think the attitude will come out. He wants receptions = yards = TD’s = $$$$$$
He will not be a happy camper unless they throw to him a hell of a lot more.

Canada needs to tell “Drops”, “Every time you drop a ball, Pickens is going to get an EXTRA 20 targets. He will also get the next 5 targets every time you run backwards.”

Well his hands are amazing. And he's physical in blocking. Speed is good, but not elite. Size is very good. He needs to work on his routes a bit. Pickett is holding Pickens back big time!

If he had better QB play, he is a bigger, faster, and more explosive Michael Irvin. He is a great 50/50 type of pass catchers which for Pickens is more like 70/30. He better be featured more next year.

Posts like this are why you get mocked around these parts.

he reminds me of TO in his aggression, AJ Green in his height/size/build and his catch skill is similar to Andre Johnson.

Pickens does not let any Moss gather under his feet.
I’m serious boys, he has always reminded me of a young Randy Moss. He has it all and if they utilize him to his max which Kenny will do next season, the sky is the limit.
Watch some replays! The guy can win every matchup. Big, physical, fast, quick, great hands, and can do it all if they will allow him to be the no. 1 and not the pretender DJ.

ChatGPT has spoken:

What former nfl player does george pickens remind you of?

George Pickens, the wide receiver for the Georgia Bulldogs, has drawn comparisons to former NFL wide receiver Julio Jones due to his size, athleticism, and strong hands.

I'll go with a bigger, stronger Ocho.

I don't think he has the play speed of Julio Jones but it's early.

I think that maybe what chatF83 said above?

Agree with Blitz.

Julio Jones has perfect hand placement and runs crisp routes. George wishes he was JJ.

Right now, He's Martavis Bryant. Not a crisp route runner that gets open with athleticism. Anquan Bolden would be his ceiling IMHO. I see nothing in GP's deep game to get me excited yet. I'm not seeing the speed or deep separation yet. He's athletic and raw, and needs to improve his footwork.

Conclusion: Pickens is going to be exhausted.

If he was anywhere near Bolden that would be one damn fine receiver.

I agree within Matt Canada's offence Pickens is Martavias Bryant now. Hopefully that changes.

Comparisons by some to AB and especially Randy Moss are ludicrous. As you said Pickens showed no signs of being a deep threat in this offense. Moss was from day 1. AB was a workout warrior and route runner. At his peak he couldn't be covered.

His ceiling is 100% dependant on how much work he's willing to put in. Even if this year's offense doesn't cater to Pickens strengths (and I'm not holding my breath it will) he still needs to put in work. Time will tell if he's willing.
