2014: The Seventh Ring Is In Sight

I think mike Mitchell brings a lot to this team.
Don't remember where but they showed how
having a slow FS last year limited us and that
Mitchell changes things. having him is like having
Two troys back there. This lets the ILB blitz more.
Also Timmons moved to the other ILB spot Shanzier
Has taken his and the guy can fly. Special teams
Should also be better with DHB as the new gunner
And Flash Archer returning kicks. Blunt brings
Some much needed attitude also!
15-4

There still isn't a leader on the team. Jerome Bettis, Joey Porter, Hines Ward...leaders. This team don't have one.

Joey is back, although now coaching. We should see a leader develop. We also have some other good leaders on the team in coaching staff. They are quiet leaders, Lake, I thought we picked up Woodson as well not sure how he fits in but I thought he has a role with the team again. The void will likely be filled. Foster has been a leader on the team and DeCastro was in college.

Keisel isn't on the roster anymore but yes Troy and Ben are definitely leaders!

What the ****, is with all, the commas? English, do you speak, it ************?

Heck NO, I speak just mere commas English!!!!!!!!!!! What is your language barrier?

Salute the nation

This team closes well. Looking at last season and the fact that we've seen the big game twice in the last 6 seasons (that Tebow loss was a total fluke), it seems like avoiding a bad start is the first step to success.

Fluke? That was a harbinger. Tho, the the signs were already there for old Sapp who bothered to look. They turned over 8 of 11 starters on D since then, and probably another 2 after this season. And half their offense. It's not remotely the same team that went to the SB in 2008 and 2010. Or the team that got it's teeth kicked in by Tim friggin Tebow. Those SBs were 4 and 6 years ago. In the Not For Long, that's like one or two generations of players ago. Those teams hold little to no significance/relevance to today.

What about Troy Polamalu, Brett Keisel and Ben Roethlisberger?

Troy Polamalu is not a leader of men. Never has been. He's a great player and future hall of famer but he's no leader. Ditto Harrison, who's been oddly brought up as a leader on multiple occasions.

The team leaders on defense have been wiped out the past few years - Farrior, Foote, Clark, Keisel. Cameron Heyward is emerging as one to take their place, but that's it really.
