I have to seriously consider how much I want to emotionally invest to this football team until they correct what needs to be corrected. I swear I am going to have heart issues cuz I bleed black and gold thru and thru. This feeling isn't worth any passion you can have. I don't have a problem getting beat but to watch this team lose the same way every time since the playoff debacle in Denver is not worth the effort. I don't hate Tomlin and I don't hate Lebeau but if your watching this and think that they aren't a huge part of the problem then you are blind. Im sick of it. This proud franchise used to hold people to a standard, I guess now its acceptable to lose the same way all of the time. I need to find a way not to care until they do.

1st Half Defense....Bucs 64 total yds and 0 for 4 on 3rd down conversions....

2nd Half Defense Bucs 286 total yds yds and 7 for 7 on 3rd down conversions.....WHOA!

The standard is the standard, above the line, obviously.

I think the Steelers need to be better at adjustments. One adjustment I recommend is to adjust who the **** is coaching the team.

I missed the first quarter because my son wanted to spend more time at the batting cages. No big deal, did not care.

A few years ago, I would have never done that.

We are out coached every second half this year except for last week.. that had more to do with panthers just being a bad team than us being good.

True about the D but the O spotted Tampa 10 points to start the game and then just needed one first down on the last series and couldn't do it. We can run the ball but not when we need to. They need to understand this is a pass first team. They should have come out in the shot gone on that last series.

Pretty obvious this team does not respect Tomlin. The shameless penalties continue.

LeBeau has served his time...it's time to move on.

I just have to laugh when games like today happen (which have been frequent in the last few years).
It's a self-defense mechanism, other wise I would get much too upset and it's just not worth the health problems.

I use to raise hell and get all bent out of shape. That does not happen anymore. After viewing 4 AFCCG losses at home and a loss in the Super Bowl to Dallas, as well as the many shortcomings here lately. I really do know early on what to expect . I know the Steelers. They do not upset me like that anymore...

Hmmm .... maybe Tomlin is simply looking to protect his amazing 3-0 record in AFC Championship games, by having his team so terrible that it will never again make the playoffs.

Interesting.

I have vowed this will be the last game i get mad over. **** it. It's not worth it. They don't ******* care, so i don't care. They're certainly not getting my money. I'll go the Jacksonville game next week only because i was offered a ticket. I fully expect to be disappointed.

2-0 not 3-0

Unfortunately I agree with you. I will always pull for them to win, but I am going to do my absolute best to buy out emotionally. And yes, the Steelers have received a TON of my money throughout my 42 years as a fan, but until they make changes they will not get one more brown cent from me or my family. I realize they will be fine without my money, but its all I have to reject this type of embarrassment as a fan.

If you are let down you have not been paying attention. This team sucks. Celebrate and enjoy the wins but do not expect anything and you can find some joy in watching them .

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Steeltime again.

Emotionally invested? Grow up. It's just entertainment. And over the last 2-3 seasons bad to mediocre entertainment.

Yeah, the last 10 years, well 8 of the last 10 years, were a good run and we rode the wave. Steeler Bars opened all over the nation, and in Rome, Italy which I've been to, and 'Burgh expatriates were able to hook up and rep the Steelers proudly, which I did the last two weeks in FL*. These days a win will kinda put me in a good mood but I won't let a loss put me in a bad mood. It is what it is. That's why last year I've taken to having fun with my MT Word Of The Week threads. Might as well.

* Forgive me father, for I have sinned. The wife and I cruised into a comedy club in FL and saw a banner pimping it as a Patriots* Bar. We couldn't leave since I already paid the cover charge.

not one player can do it alone regardless of how great he is. To answer your question, if changes aren't made I would say that is very possible. When you get a window of opportunity you have to embrace it. We are just wasting it with a bad defense and a head coach that is meaner at the podium than he is in the locker room apparently.

Getting all worked up over this stuff is silly. I realized that about 5 yrs ago and haven't been happier

Really wish I could think like this.

I say **** this league and screw this team all the time, yet my dumbass will be watching again next week.

I wouldnt say that. But he too has to shoulder some of the blame. Why cant you throw the ball away when in FG range, instead of taking a coverage sack. You had time to do it? small thing I know, but he constantly does it, and leaders like Brady and manning dont do that. Is the window closed? I think he's one of the best in the league still, but this putrid D is going to make it tough.
