How closely are they watching Fields snap count?

Obviously if Russ was injured they do what they have to. But I believe stipulation was 40 percent snaps changes it from a 6th to a 4th. How closely do you think the Steelers are watching that number? They could easily get a week 18 build your own bye by resting players because you aren't getting the 1 seed. That could push him past the mark.
Correction it is 51 percent. As long as Russ stays healthy they have wiggle room.

Imho his snap count is on a very far back burner as far as being watched.

They need to win games and playoff games above all. With how deep this roster is becoming the difference between a 4th and a 6th is a very distant concern at best.

On the list of concerns for this team that likely ranks in the bottom 1-2 percentile…a non factor.

Tracking is one thing, but snap count is very VERY very low on how they make their game day decisions. It may be a factor towards the end of the season, but currently, it’s not.

Winning helps, but this "Team" seems like the best chemistry I've seen in years. Wilson, Fields have been nothing but humble and hard working since day 1, putting the team first and saying all the right things. Najee is playing his best football and looks like a different back likely due to the scheme and the weight loss makes him look more agile and quicker burst. Warren is getting healthy and making some big plays, Pickens is showing he is a true #1, Pat and even Washington are getting some chain moving plays in crucial moments. The red zone def needs work as does the short yardage game, but all in all this team is playing the best we could have hoped for.
I could care less about snap counts, just win. Make every effort to keep both QB happy, don't f***k it up its working.

I'm thinking they have to be considering the amount of Fields package series/plays for possible Russ injury. Again if strategy to win a game dictates.... probably very little. For reference roughly 8.5 games would be the number. He has played 6 full and the 5 ir 6 plays vs. Ravens.

So 687 total
Thats about 70 snaps per game ( fields at 66.3 per start, wilson at 71.75 per start)
Snaps can deviate so there are about 450-500 snaps left in the season.
So I'm guessing if Wilson started the next 5 games we are absolutely in the clear unless playoffs count.. if its just 4 then game by game snap counts matter


Honestly though, fields was worth a 4th and we fleeced them with Claypool... it sucks because this likely is the kind of draft you get a starter in the 4th, but I am ok if we lose that to the Bears...
