Head coaching record[edit]

Cowhers record.
Lots of playoff appearances, but 3 losing seasons. Turrible. Just Turrible.
Give me Tomlin any day.

Cowher retired a year after winning the Super Bowl.
I'm thinking now that Tomlin should have as well.

When Tomlin went to the crossroads to make a deal with the Devil, he only asked to never have a losing season.
Those deals never work out like you think

I see 8 first place finishes in the division, 4 afc championship games and 2 superbowl appearances. All that with very subpar qb's until he got ben and went all the way his 2nd year. If we loom at Tomlin we will see less first place finishes and alot of one and dones in the playoffs once all cowhers players were gone save for Ben. We can say what we want about cowher but he was great at playing around our strengths and making the team better for it. I would bet anything if cowher had ben as long as Tomlin the steelers go to the superbowl at least 3 or 4 more times and win a couple of them. There was also little to no drama and players acting out with Bill. No discipline required out of the new standard.

The Cowher football team culture would fight you for every blade of grass. Those guys really tried to keep the standard set before them.

They really need someone to come in and reestablish what's been lost.

I honestly don't remember him and I've been around since the golden era of Apologist, Hank the Tank, etc
