Don't get me wrong. I hope. And I'm not calling people out. I'm just wondering. You keep seeing the same story play out again and again. How can anyone especially the FO believe this is working. I agree with what soneone else said. Even if he drops that ball and the team is 4-1. But how do you feel about it? Put Russ in I guess. Let him take sacks and throw the goddamn ball where he wants. It doesn't matter what Fields is. They won't let him play. The third string went in and threw the kind of pass they have to. Then Fields went in and the concepts worked. Then it stopped. There is some slack here. They have a ton of injuries. But that's football. In the end they play small ball and take 4 shots a game. They play two or more TEs with a back where you celebrate a 7 yard gain. I watched the Giants. Even they let Daniel Jones play. It's tragic that a once in 15-20 year player like Watt will be wasted by this stubborn fool.
So.........who is left standing?

It's a long season, I hate the way the team looked these last two losses, but they weren't lost due to lack of effort on the field. As long as this teams plays to the final whistle I'm all in, I made it though Mark Malone as our starting qb, this ain't nothin compared to that.

In the end what I'm sure is by far the highest paid defense in the NFL allowed two long TD drives in the 2nd half. If you're going to get paid that much money you have to start making plays. AND I'm not talking about TJ!

Too many injuries. Khan did a great job this offseason adding significant depth and injuries have decimated all that good work. I know it's the NFL and "next man up" and all of that, but this season has been brutal in that regard.

I take solace in the fact that we aren't the Browns. I had to take a nap and put the game on...right to sleep. Man do they suck.

This was my last game of the season. I may return if Russell Wilson gets a shot. I have better things to do with my time. Any sane adult can see that the coaching is trash. Two straight losses to the Cowboys. Their defense was decimated with injuries too. I am out. See you all next year.

What about the people who coach that high paid defense? The colts and cowboys who aren’t good running teams ran the ball at will on us, where is the adjustment.

The gaffes and disorganization in the secondary last night are inexcusable and on the coaches. So Bishop is a rookie and is getting beat…create a scheme that helps him

Well, I would never abandon my beloved STEELERS but also let it be known that I have vision of what is happening to our team. It isn’t just injuries, it’s the scheme / Micro-managing / perceived lackadaisical-ness in preparations / amongst time & challenge management as well with in-game adjustments.

TJ is all world pro, but coaching is holding him back. Opposition can chip and double him out of the play. It looked easy yesterday to run right at him, multiple times. No adjustments or moving him a round a little.

Yes, it does have that feel of GROUNDHOG DAY and that will feeling will be present until proven otherwise.

Can this year’s season be a success, hellA yes it can. 5 games in and we have yet to establish an identity. We are known that we want to run the ball, but haven’t successfully yet to establish that identity.

We are known to want to establish a kill-shot defense, but haven’t established that identity. Instead, we have proven we have an expensive defense that can be schemed against.

NO, I’m definately NOT giving up on them and am still “ALL IN” as there is a lot of season left and we could turn things around.

It will take some work and healing up, but we can rise. We can fight to dominate, to defend our field of play. That guy next to you will see the fight and he will fight the more, chain reaction flows through and the fuse is lit. That INCH is attainable and that INCH is what we will die on, for my brothers.

GO. GO. GO. GO S-T-E-E-L-E-R-S here we go.!

Last two games were disgusting to watch.
On offense I see players unutilized, (muth, Washington). And the run game is terrible. Spencer anderson had looked better than seumalo did last night. And that's bad. Najee looked his best when catching passes out of the back field. Two I think it was. Why didn't we hit that more. Fields looked pedestrian, and lost at times. I was becoming a believer in him, but I think might be wrong. There are things on offense that they could be doing, we see it. But they don't. Just keep shoving squares into round holes. The slant pass, the drag, the flare, the roll out, the waggle. Nope. But hey we WILL try najee around the end, or throwing it long. This is just offense. Idk wtf is wrong with defense.
Every level was bad last night . Dak made some **** throws and we got pics, hooray. Let's run to the end zone and pose .

Here is what has gone wrong on O
1. The Oline is a mess.. the expected starting line was supposed to be
LT- Jones
LG -Seumalo
C- Herbig ( eventually giving way to Frazier as the Season progressed)
RG- Daniels
RT- Fautanu

Basically, the whole thing is ******... Frazier went in too early, and still misses things... Jones is back at RT... Seumalo missed tge first four games... Daniels and Fautanu are gone for the year, and Moore has been our best Olineman.. the depth is shot.. we have two rookie starters and a second year guy still playing out of position on his weaker side.

The injuries at RB compile this issue.., there is no change of pace cutback guy or speed guy or well anything.. and Najee runs hard... but into a line that doesnt always open up the right hole or, well, any hole... and he aint a bounce it outside guy... lol

George Pickens is dropping the ball... lately he seems to be missing routine catches too much.. this team needs a boatload of adderall

Fields is inconsistent.. sometimes absolutely great... other times just totally unfocused... he needs that Adderall most of all

It's safe to say Fields has proven that he is a capable backup, not a starter. Throw in russ. Tomlin only wants a game manager anyways. I don't know what russ can do. Tomlin chose Fields over russ. Tomlin lies a lot. Is russ really that hurt?

I, too, remember the Mark Malone years - and Bubby Brister, David Woodley, and a lot of other no-name QBs. This is worse - back then with a good coach in Chuck Noll, I had hope - with Tomlin and his assistant clowns, I have none. Of course he will get a pass this year because of injuries but Injuries happen to all teams - the Cowboys were decimated with injuries on defense but still held us to a little over 200 yards and 17 points. Take away red zone turnovers and this team would have been incinerated. Different QBs, different coordinators, different key players on offense and defense, and the same mediocre results year in and year out - the one constant is the head coach and the ownership that enables him.

a .500 record is the definition of mediocrity. When you continually celebrate mediocrity, don't be surprised when you become a mediocre team. Nothing changes on either side of the ball. Same defense and same offense regardless of who the coordinator is.

Well, in each of our losses we only lost by 3.
So I guess there something positive you can extract from that.

Please no one respond with “a loss is a loss no matter by 3 or 30.”
I fully understand that. It took a while, but I get it now.
I’m not as slow as you guys think! LOL

Things I think I think ..
We missed 30 & 84 last night. Najee is well just Najee..
Did we resign Devin Bush and he now wears number 6?
Mikah is a great player..but he ain't a single high safety.
Dan Moore might be our best linemen currently.. and he is probably gone after this season?
We suck at number ones.. haven't had a good one since 2017 and that's bad.
77 is the latest major disappointment.
Good news.. our next four games are raiders , jets, giants, and commodores..
I think Russell rolls his dice in Vegas.

Is that really good news? I can see 2-2 out of that at best. The Commanders are solid on both sides of the ball. Jayden Daniels, as a rookie, is light years ahead of any QB the Steelers have had since Big Ben. They will be a tough out. I also think they'll lose to either the Giants or Jets. There has to be an obligatory stinker, ya know?

Anyone else think that Tomlin had a very concerned look last night? Even before the game was decided. Like maybe it’s setting in that he is the common denominator.

NO, I think he is listening to the OLD Cool-Aid commercial song

"Kool-Aids here
weariN a smile
goodby thirst
smile for a whiwhiwhiiiile !! "

I think we move on from Justin and that really helps..
I can see 3-4 wins in that group as long as the defense don’t give up out of frustration .
Russel should be able to be much better on third downs and in the downfield passing offense .
Defense was wore out by mid third last night.

Even with Mark Malone and the bum of the month club at quarterback, they never went more than four years without a playoff win in the 1980s.

I think our season depends on Russ playing on Sunday and proving himself and then coming back to Sunday night and beating the Jets. We also need Highsmith healthy asap as well as one of our backs. Also Leglue played decent for us a couple years ago. Get him on the field.
