Fans better hope that doesn’t happen as if it does odds are the season won’t end pretty. So by what week does Wilson get benched for Fields is the new question......
3 years is my guess. So by what week does Wilson get benched for Fields is the new question......
Are you an AI social media writer? So by what week does Wilson get benched for Fields is the new question......
I hope they don't. Fields is a stud athlete. He is not an nfl QB, IMO. I hope he gets traded to someone desperate. They will want to know if either will be worth the 40-50 million a year contract.
This.I mean, outside of dimwitted national media... did anyone?
Basically, Barring Wilson playing so badly in camp and preseason that he looked totally washed up, the job was his... which is what every credible local source said from day one...
it was clickbaiters and national media potato heads that drove the "Fields is gonna start.. you wait and see" crap...
Hmmmm, someone forgot to tell the media then. You new here? Everyone in Steeler Nation knew DangeRuss was the QB1 from jump street...months ago.
If having Sam Darnold on the cover of your GameDay magazine doesn't qualify as desperate I don't know what does. Guarentee part of Bears trade was they couldn't repackage him.I hope they don't. Fields is a stud athlete. He is not an nfl QB, IMO. I hope he gets traded to someone desperate.
Agreed. I was impressed by Plumlee. He looks like he will be more than Allen will ever be.If I was running things, I would see what they could get for Fields in a trade. That doesn’t mean I would accept peanuts though. I just don’t get the feeling that Fields is the answer going forward. The extended look in PS was just not enough for me to get onboard. I’m not sure we aren’t better with Wilson/Allen/Plumlee, if you can get a decent return on Fields.

Never having a true QB competition is not anything to brag about. This is a ridiculous discussion. I've been a Steeler fan since I knew anything in 70s. So around 50 years. Do you know how many QB competitions there were in that time? I guess you could say '74 when Gilliam won the job? Not sure it was a competition, Gilliam just took advantage of the strike and played lights out in preseason. It evolved, it didn't start out that way. Even in the lean years of the 80s, were there really any? I would argue most QB changes for the Steelers over the years kind of evolved instead of as competitions. It's a dumb criticism.
