And frankly, this is as good a slate of non-conference games as I can recall. Hopefully the playoff and strength of schedule factor will increase the frequency of better non-conference scheduling.
Just to name a few:
Michigan St. @ Oregon
LSU vs. Wisconsin
Alabama vs. WVU
Clemson @ Georgia
Oklahoma St. @ Florida St.
Tennessee @ Oklahoma
Va Tech @Ohio St.
UCLA @ Texas
Miami @ Nebraska (this would have been superb 15 years ago)
and of course, for you Michigan fans....hosting Appalachian St.! (ahh, memories)
Which one intrigues you the most?
For me, it's MSU/Oregon....complete contrast of styles. The Spartans are the type of team (see: Stanford) that gives Oregon trouble.
Also, LSU/Wisconsin. This will be a good opportunity for Wisconsin to win this game. LSU isn't what they used to be, but a win here by either team is a kickstart for the season.
