If there is a strong consensus to move a player up or down we will do so. Start with this group will add others. I placed a few to start. Nothing is locked in. This isn't who we like player wise this is just creating a big board. I will delete copied names as we go along.

They haven't met or interviewed any of these to my knowledge. Trying to keep this to who they show interest.

I will add this after work. Good job!

from that link, sounds like Hollifield is one of our mid-round selections:

For Hollifield, playing at an ACC school it was easier to find more information on him as a player. He is a draft profile of Hollifield, via Fan Nation.

Pros: Hollifield primarily aligns as the Hokies’ starting MIKE linebacker, with some snaps on the outside. He has sufficient athleticism - solid burst off the snap and loose movement skills. When he is able to make contact with a running back, displays adequate technique and uses his functional strength to make the play. Not many whiffs on tackles in his film. Straight-line speed is nice, and his frame is ideal for an inside linebacker in today’s game. Displays patience when covering in the flats.
Cons: One of the more disappointing run defenders I have ever come across. Doesn’t have a plan when attacking the play - will aimlessly run into the offensive lineman and get washed out in mere seconds. When used as a blitzer, his vision is poor and will elongate his path to the football by taking wide turns around the edge. Fails to showcase proper instincts across the various portions of his positional duties. Takes some egregious angles in coverage and his COD skills are severely lacking as well.
Summary: Dax Hollifield has some juice in his skillset, and if he can smarten up as a linebacker he has the potential to be a surprisingly good player; however, his athleticism doesn’t take away from the fact that he is a putrid run defender who is still incredibly raw in coverage. He’s a former 4-star recruit so his ceiling is theoretically high, but he needs boatloads of coaching to be anything more than a special team’s gunner at this stage.

What are you thinking round 4?

Sounds like a late rounder to me, if he is that bad at run defense, I wouldn't spend more than a 7th on his athletic potential, sounds more like a udfa

Do they always interview everyone on their board? I would think that with the upper end talent they already know what they need to and not waste one of their interviews on them.

I definitely don't think they only draft players they interview.

we dont do common ******* sense around here.

Round 3

What are you thinking round 4?
no. see, if you look at the bigger picture and take a guy in an early round that you could have likely gotten as an UDFA, then you beat the rush of the other 31 teams to sign that dude. it's simple, common logic. you sacrifice, if you want to call it that, a shot at some guy who has likely proven himself to be a better player - pedigree, for example - for someone who needs more coaching and assistance. in taking a guy such as this, without pedigree, you're putting him in the lab to overturn stones and unleash hell when he gets it above the neck on the field. do you not understand football at all? i can repeat this in a simpler verison if necessary.

Thanks for putting this together Slash. It will be a fun thread to follow.

I seem to recall a bit more secrecy and smoke and mirrors under previous Steelers regimes in regard to their draft board, but Tomlin and Colbert have always been pretty transparent about who they're interested in. I'm curious to see if Kahn and Weidl approach it differently.

have we met with him? that is the purpose of this particular thread
Well, I'm guessing he's had dinner at Tomlin's house on quite a few occasions so even if it's been over a year he should be an exception lol

Well I updated in the Combine Meetings thread that they had a formal meeting at the combine with Porter Jr.

Ok I updated most of the list. Give me the rounds on the others and I will update them as well

I definitely don't think they only draft players they interview.
For the purpose of this board we are doing interviews or meet withs.

Sewell and Campbell took hits today with 4.7 40s.
