College Football Week 11

The first official playoff rankings dropped this week. It matched the AP rankings except for Ohio State is 2 over Georgia. That gives the Big 10 the top 2 teams which is not possible in the actual playoff. The top 4 seeds must be conference Champs, so in effect it's more like the Big 10 has the 1 seed and SEC has the 2 seed right now.

Washington at 6 Penn State 8:00 Peacock PSU -13.5
just after Penn was turned red, they turn it back to white with the official Whiteout for the season. Due to Fox pushing their big noon, there could be no whiteout vs Ohio State. Instead it will be against Washington and it ends up streaming only on Peacock so few will even see it.

Penn State needs to shake off the PSU loss. The defense was actually pretty good. They held an explosive OSU offense to 20 points and made some big plays with a pick 6 and a forced fumble that saved a TD.

The offense moved the ball between the 20s but redzone was a nightmare. OSU just dared the Penn State WRs to beat them and they couldn't. It's the same thing most teams have done but the difference is PSU had enough talent to win in the run and throwing to Warren.

Penn State is #6 in the playoff ranking. They are in great shape to make the playoffs but can't afford another loss. Their strength of schedule probably isn't good enough to get in with a 2nd loss.

I'm hoping Penn State can get out to a lead and then try to work on the outside passing game. They need to develop that if they hope to win in the playoffs.

4 Miami at Georgia Tech 12:00 ESPN Mia -11
Miami has the easiest path to the playoff. In the ACC, they don't play Clemson, SMU, or Pitt. With such a weak schedule, it means they can't afford to lose to an unranked team because a loss in the ACC Title game would then likely knock them out of the playoffs. Miami flirts with danger nearly every week.

Florida at 5 Texas 12:00 ABC Tex -22.5
Florida lost the starting QB for the season. Last week with their #2 QB, they were on their way to beating Georgia, then he got hurt and it fell apart with their #3 QB. Florida was improving and they announced coach Billy Napier will be back. But if they have to go with the 3rd QB against Texas, they're in trouble.

3 Georgia at 16 Ole Miss 3:30 ABC UGA -2.5
Ole Miss has 2 losses so they are must win the rest of the way. Georgia played another flat game vs Florida last week. UGA has only 1 loss but it feels like they could have lost about 4 of them. UGA has Tennessee next week and they can't afford a loss here either. This should be a great game with a desperate Ole Miss.

Michigan at 8 Indiana 3:30 CBS IU -14.5
Indian coach Curt Cignetti mus already have coach of the year in the bag. Indiana is looking to win 10 games for the first time in program history. Cignetti was Nick Saban's recruiting coordinator at Alabama. If Bama loses another game, fans will probably start looking at Cignetti. Idiana jas played a weak schedule but they've blown teams out. Michigan's offense stinks but their defense is still tough. It will be interesting to see if Indiana can put up a big score on a team with athletes. Indiana has Ohio State next week.

23 Clemson at Virginia Tech 3:30 ESPN Clem -6
Clemson is the only team aside from the service academies not to have any players from the transfer portal. Dabo doesn't believe in it. In related news, Clemson kind of sucks. I get it that you'd rather not have to use the portal but that ship has sailed. You need to get at least a few players each year. Clemson lost to the only 2 good teams they played. They were dominated by Louisville last week. If they lost to mediocre Virginia Tech, could Dabo be on the hot seat? Maybe he can coach Air Force next year.

20 Colorado at Texas Tech 4:00 FOX Colo -4
Texas Tech pulled the upset of Iowa State last week. That benefitted Colorado the most as they now have a shot to sneak into the Big 12 title game if they can win out. If they beat Tech that may be possible because their remaining games are Utah, Kansas and Ok State, 3 of the bottom 4 teams in the Big 12.

Florida State at 10 Notre Dame 7:30 NBC ND -26.5
before the season, this looked like it would be one of the biggest games of the year. Now Florida State is 1-8. If FSU has any pride at all, they'll go all out in this one. I doubt it though.

11 Alabama at 15 LSU 7:30 ABC Ala -2.5
both teams have 2 losses so this is pretty much a playoff game, as it will be very tough to make the playoff with 3 losses unless you win the conference. The loser will likely be out of the running to make the SEC Champ game so this is likely the end of the road for one of them.

Both teams are coming off a bye. LSU lost to Texas A&M where they let their QB run all over them. Milro ran for over 15 yards vs LSU last year. I'm guessing LSU spent the bye working on containing a running QB. Bama has lost 2 road games in a row to Vandy and Tenn. Thyey can't afford a slow start.

Oklahoma at 24 Missouri 7:45 SEC Network OU -3
Mizz is technically still alive with 2 losses but they suck. They are 3 point dogs at home to an unranked team with 4 losses. That says it all about what people think about them.

Nevada at 12 Boise State 8:00 FOX BSU -24
this is all about checking out Heisman candidate RB Ashton Jeanty. Possible steeler if they let Najee walk?

Virgina at 18 Pitt 8:00 ACC Network Pitt -7.5
Pitt still has a shot at the ACC Champ game. They still have Clemson and Louisville to play but Clemson is very beatable.

Will I be drinking heavily during my game??? Or will I be taking TD shots because we look like Bama of old???

Either way - I'm going to Total Wine to stock up...

looks like Berm is on his way back from Total Wine. Man doesn't waste any time! :eek1::lol:

Miami getting outplayed by Georgia Tech. Their defense sucks and their offense is Cam Ward broken plays. They may win the ACC but I don’t see them as a contender in the playoffs.

Sooooo...I got a handle of Tito's, LeBron's James' Very Special Blend of Hennessy and there was a BOGO free on LeBron's new tequila, Lobos 1707...

I test drove that tequila last night and that looked like me trying to get to bed after drinking half the bottle🤯🤯🤯

Miami is in another battle. Just enough time for them to get another late-game with if they can stop Georgia Tech on this drive.

Kirby Smart pulled his balls out on the first drive by going for it on 4th down inside the RZ on the 3rd yd. line to score a TD...Jaxon Dart is in the locker room - this could get bad real quick...

Austin Simmons is his name, just turned 19 yesterday. I realize it's a few passes but he seems to have a live arm. I believe we're gonna be hearing from this kid. Dart looks like he's returning.
