I have seen recently where two undocumented immigrants were Valedictorians of their HS. The one said she has been waiting 6-7 years for citizenship. Maybe I am totally ignorant on how the whole thing works, but I am trying to understand how you make it through school. Don't you need a SS number and what not? The one is going to Yale and the other one said that her tuition is paid for. I dont have anything against these girls I just dont understand how you can register for / receive aid for college with out a SS number.

You mean illegal aliens. Immigrants come legally immigrants are a separate class entirely. The answer is that it is not hard to get a fork Social Security card. The schools and universities are simply not checking to make sure the Social Security number on the Social Security card is valid.

Read an article on this...this girl apparently got a SS number through the DREAM act...she can live and work here legally...other illegal immigrants who do not have SS numbers and cannot get federal aid but can still get aid from some state universities and private scholarships. Texas gives state aid to illegal immigrants.

What would wipe the smeark off her face would be an ICE agent hauling her and her parents ***'s to jail on the 6 o'clock news. Dreamer or not bus, she did not get here legally and that's being flaunted publicly all across the Country right now.
