Tomlin in his presser said there will be changes to his staff and that the OC will be coming from the outside.
Says Kenny will be his guy and acknowledged that Mason played well. Said he didn’t know if Mason would be back though.
Said he was still hungry to win.
Really came in to the presser acting much different and very responsive and respectful with the media. I wonder if something was said to him. The best he’s sounded.

Can anyone name a short list of candidates for OC that would be willing to work under Tomlin?
saw where Tee Martin was mentioned, which would also fit the tie-in since he's a former Steeler.

OC - **** it. Hire Mike Bobo from UGA. Worked for the Rats as that offense is still humming along and helped their RB/QB
DC - Teryl Austin - Gone. Promote Aaron Curry immediately.

How much will Tomlin have his fingers involved in the schemes these new guys will be installing is the real question.

If he’s committing to KP now, I doubt they’ll be looking to bring in anyone of the Russell Wilson/Kurt Cousins/Justin Fields pedigree.

Let's hope Tomlin steps back and allows them to run their scheme.
Did any of you happen to notice that in the after-game presser Shades boiled down the loss to turnovers, turnovers and more turnovers? Basically northing but turnovers, those were seemingly the only thing the team did wrong to cause the loss. What's that tell you about how simple Shades is? That's his entire perspective, he's THAT simple. That means the offense will return to pee-your-pants fear of turnovers, not really winning football attitude.

And nor will our owner, too much $ for FAs like that; that's not the "Steeler way."

It’s another “Rooney Way” to favor Pittsburgh tied people. I fully expect Van Pelt to get a serious look-see 🤷🏻‍♂️

And? He wasn’t wrong. Two TO, resulted in Bills TDs. Mason’s pick was a 14 pt. swing instead of being down 7, they were down 21. Entire offensive scheme has to change being down 21.

Of course TOs were a bad problem. So was running with 9 in the box, running the next play with the same thing, little play action, etc.

If a team gets a deep turnover and drives down the field, that is not a result of the turnover... its a football logical fallacy.

A pick six or return/ recovery in your own zone is turnover related points.. when the other team gets it where they were going to get it on the kickoff anyway, then its on the defense. That turnover takes the 3 or 7 off the board our way, but the seven scored on us is directly on the BS defense we run

You guy's on here crack me up! LOL! You piss and moan because Tomlin doesn't do this and doesn't do that. Like hiring from outside. Then when he comes out and says "we are going outside to hire an OC", you are still pissing and moaning!

The offense has to be more adaptive and less micromanaged.

There have to be audibles and especially in tge red zone you do have to do timing routes, sometimes even in the middle of the field.

If you make 4 trips to the red zone, Its better to score two tds and throw two picks that the other team gets inside the 25 than to score 4 field goals... that logic is missing

Funny. I don’t see anyone pissing and moaning about him hiring someone from the outside. in fact I would say at least 95% of this board welcome a hire from the outside.
