This will be the best undrafted free agent class ever. The steelers better be burning up the phones because there are some great prospects. Here's some of the guys i'm looking for.

QB
Stephen Morris- Miami - athletic, really good arm
Jeff Matthews - Cornell - pocket passer with big arm, obviously smart.
Jordan Lynch - N Illinois - probably not an NFL QB but a very good athlete, maybe a good special teamer, try him at RB or maybe Safety

RB
George Atkinson Georgia Tech

WR
Brandon Coleman Rutgers - 6'6 not a great athlete but huge
Bennie Fowler Michigan State - tough
Cody Hoffman BYU - 6'4 -
L'Damian Washington - Missouri 6'4 - suspect hands

TE
Jacob Pedersen Wisconsin - H Back type
AC Leonard Tennessee State - move TE, ran a 4.5 40, great athlete, terrible blocker
Blake Annen Cincinnati - small, ran a 4.41 40, Cincy TEs have been good in NFL lately
Nic Jacobs McNese St - big, one of the few potential blocking TEs

OL
Mike Hunchak C Monmouth - just because his name is Mike Hunchak

Antonio Richardson OT Tennessee - this guy was graded as a 2nd rounder. Must be some kind of red flag we don;t know about.

Matt Patchan OT/G Boston College - short arms for T buy athletic and could be a good D in the zone scheme

Ryan Groy G Wisconsin - mauler

LB
Jackson Jeffcoat DE/OLB Texas - can't believe he wasn't drafted. Must be an injury flag or something.

Max Bullough ILB Michigan St - really productive and tough

Shaquil Barrett OLB Colorado St - Joey Porter's project, a good practice squad guy

Adrian Hubbard OLB Alabama - can play strong side behind Worilds.

Rashaad Reynolds CB Oregin St- another guy who is a surprise free agent.

Craig Loston S LSU - could be another Ryan Clark

Kenny Ladler S Vanderbilt - athletic, smart

ANthony Fera K/P Texas - transferred from Penn State to be closer to his sick mother. DId both K and P at both schools. Doing both probably stopped him from being great at either one but he has a great leg.

If these guys were in last years draft, 90% would've been selected. This draft was ridiculously loaded with talent. Max Bullough would definitely be worth a shot, could be a Jerry Olsavsky type of player. Antonio Richardson would be a nice pickup as well.

Isaiah Crowell may be the most gifted RB in this class. Nobody I watched on tape moves like he does. He was SEC Freshman of the Year at Georgia, but was sent packing after a failed drug test and gun charges (which were dropped). He was great at Alabama State. He could wash out the Archer taste and provide actual backfield depth.

TE Xavier Grimble is a strong blocker and adept receiver. I liked him in the 4th.

Richardson was a borderline 1st/2nd on my board. Real, serious LT tools. Effortless strength and athleticism. As Tape said, must be some red flag there.

Two interior guys I like, Jonotthan Harrison (C) and Dakota Dozier (G) are sitting there.

I'm stunned that OLB Kasim Edebali wasn't drafted. A power edge rusher with an absolutely relentless motor. Jeffcoat, again, is probably flagged with an injury. Howard Jones has a ton of chops, but is tiny and played at Shepherd.

Anthony Johnson went undrafted. He was a five-star recruit who never played THAT well, but for no one to have taken him is insane.

Shayne Skov needs to be on a roster.

Two second-round CBs in my eyes, Roberson and Rashaan Reynolds. Reynolds fits our bill and would bring some ball skills to the roster. Roberson is boom or bust.

The Packers had my dream draft. Came away with Ha Ha, Davante Adams, Abbrederis, Carl Bradford, and Rajion Neal.

Per Burt Lauten, Steelers signed:
DB Devon Carringon (Stanford)
OL Chris Elkins (YSU)
DE Ethan Hermer (Wisconsin)
OT Kaycee Ike (UAB)
LB Howard Jones (Shephard)
QB Brendon Kay (Cincinnati)
DE Josh Mauro (Stanford)
DT Roy Philon (Louisville)
OG Will Simmons (East Carolina)
Eric Waters (Missouri)

Why on earth are we still adding so many defensive line prospects? Must have no faith in Arnfelt and Williams . . . I would have expected to see about 3 or 4 CBs on that list instead of one DB probably suited for safety . . .

Joe Mauro and Howard Jones were draftable prospects. Those two are worth watching out for.

I noticed the Toledo QB was brought in as well..............

Williams is a major project that spent the entire season on IR and Arnfelt did not make the final 53. Why should anyone have any faith in either?

Roy Philon is a pretty powerful dude. Did not bench this offseason because of shoulder surgery. A shade under 300 pounds, strong, big bubble butt and thick legs. Moves well enough.

L'Damian Washington - Cowboys
Cody Hoffman - Redskins

Jeffcoat - Eagles
Shaquil Barrett - Broncos
Max Bullough - Texans

Just keep one thing in mind, the Steelers keep their guys under wraps until they get signed contracts in hand. They had a WR that said he would sign with them, they announced him (was from Georgia) and the Falcons went to him, offered, and he signed with them, leaving the Steelers hung out to dry. So, they keep quiet now until the ink is dry. Could have several skills guys that have agreed, waiting on contracts. Would not sweat it until the full list comes out.

Brandon Coleman signs with Saints
Conner Shaw signs with Clowns
Porifoy and Bennie Fowler sign with Broncos

sign purifoy

I cant believe Richardson and Purifoy went undrafted. I thought Loston would go at some point, too, unless I am confusing him with someone else.

they must have real faith that ike is going have a big bounce back year with these corners
Taylor 34
gay 29
Allen 25

with these expected to see 60 of d reps we only added Richardson

I expect they plan to play shamarko a lot in the nickel and dime and with the shazier pick maybe they try dropping him back often like how brooks was in the Tampa 2.
With the 6/1 savings from cutting woodley we should add one of these vets to a 1 yr deal.
Florence
Robinson
jammer
webster
greer
samual
Terrell thomas

Purifoy went undrafted due to his ganja issue. Broncos should sign him. Wouldn't be an issue there.

A few Penn Staters i'd like to see in camp

Stephen Obeng-Agyapong S - he was used as a hybrid S/LB, made some plays for PSU

Matt Lehman TE - former walkon who earned quite a bit of playing time in O'Brien's TE friendly system. He's a receiving TE. He missed nearly all of last season with an injury. Great hands.

Adam Gress OT - decent athlete, NFL body, never quite put it together at PSU. PSU switched schemes a few time during his career. Zone scheme could fit him. Doubt he'd make the team but possible practice squad guy.
