Yes, there are still bowl games. Marshall had to pull out of their bowl because their coach left for another job so something like 40 of their players entered the portal. They really need to straighten out these rules. Why open the portal when teams are preparing for playoffs and bowls?

Bill Belichick goes to North Carolina. I wonder of more NFL coaches will follow. Now that money does the recruiting, there's no more going to recruits homes, not really. He can act more like a GM.

It will be interesting to see how many players opt out of these bowls. Do they have to return NIL money if they skip a bowl game?

Yeah, I was surprised by that as well. I guess because Christmas is on a Wednesday, (and the NFL was compelled to have Christmas Day games), they had to schedule games on the Saturday before. I’m thinking next year College football will have the day to itself.
