College Football Week 12

Hard to believe that the season is almost over.

11 Penn State at Rutgers 3:30 BTN PSU -19
More bad injury news for PSU as #1 WR Parker Washington appears to be done for the season with an ankle injury. Mitchell Tinsley is a relaible #2. They will need one of the young WRs to step up.

PSU should be OK without Washington vs Rutgers and Mich State, but if they get in a Ney Year 6 bowl, it could really hurt. I'm seeing projections of PSU vs Ole Miss, possibly Bama in the Citrus.

The Rose is still in play if both Ohio State and Michigan make the playoff, although that seems unlikely because the Big Ten is dumb enough to have them play on the last weekend so the loser has no chance to recover in the rankings. SEC is run by smart people who know how to game the system. Big Ten is run by idiots.

Greg Schiano is a good coach and the Rutgers defense is pretty tough but the offense is garbage.

Illinois at 3 Michigan 12:00 ABC Mich -17.5
Michigan's last speed bump before Ohio State. Bielema has done a great job at Illinois and he knows Michigan well. Mich only played 1 ranked team this year, Penn State and in that game Penn State's run defense made so many mistakes in assignments that Mich didn;t have to do anything but run the ball. Maybe it will still be that way vs Illinois but what happens when Mich has to do something other than run the ball?

4 TCU at Baylor 12:00 FOX TCU -2

everybody doubts TCU but they've played a pretty tough schedule. Here we see them just 2 point favorites against 6-4 Baylor. Most fans are rooting hard against TCU to miss the playoffs. Pac 12 is on the outside again. Big 10 is hoping for 2 teams, and SEC fans are probably hoping to get 3.

12 Kansas State at West Virginia 2:00 Big12 Network KSU -8

not too many good matchups this week. WVU needs to win this game and next week vs Oklahoma State to be bowl eligible. Good luck with that.

1 Georgia at Kentucky 3:30 CBS UGA -22.5
Kentucky started hot but last week they lost to Vanderbilt who had lost 26 straight SEC games. Georgia vs LSU is already set for the SEC Championship. They just need to get through this game and then Ga Tech to set up a meaningless game vs LSU where they can lose and still get in the playoff.

2 Ohio State at Maryland 3:30 ABC OSU -27
Maryland started the year pretty well but last week they were shutout by Penn State and they looked checked out during that game. Last warmup for OSU ahead of the Michigan game.

22 Oklahoma State at Oklahoma 7:30 ABC OU -7

so much for rankings as 5-5 unranked Oklahoma is a 7 point favorite over ranked OSU. It seemed OK had things turned around after getting blown out by Texas but then they lost 2 straight to Baylor and WVU. Rough first year for HC Brent Venables. His defenses at Clemson were complex so it may take some time. Plus he's replacing a playcaller Lincoln RIley so it may take time for him to get football players and not just a bunch of QB and WRs

7 USC at 16 UCLA 8:00 FOX USC -2
The battle of LA where both teams wear their home color jerseys. It's been a while since this game meant something. USC can clinch their spot in the PAC 12 Chsmpionship with a win and stay alive for a playoff berth. USC has only play 1 ranked team, Utah, and they lost. They've mostly cruised this year. UCLA is more battle tested and tougher. Should be a good game

10 Utah at 12 Oregon 10:30 ESPN Utah -2
an actual good game to round out the night. Bo Nix was getting Heisman buzz but then they lost to Washington last week so he's probably out of the running.

Always good write up Tape, thank you.

Work day for e but may catch something here and there........................

Salute the nation

Another weak slate of games this week. Who would’ve guested the best matchups would be in the Pac-12.

Pitt vs Duke is a big game around here today.
Duke is up 7-3 right now. All Pitt can do is run Abandakanda.

Officiating crew in this game sucks, gave Duke 7 after ruling a roughing the kicker call where the defender was clearly blocked into the kicker.
At least we still have the halftime lead.

That Pitt runner is exciting. Can't spell or say his name.

It looks like FSU is slowly coming back from used to be great graveyard.

Pitt with the scoop and score on the fumble.
Now up 28-14 with a good two point conversion

There's always that one guy...
